Temp to Hire
Pay: $25/hr + (depending on experience)
1st shift - 6am - 4:30pm (Mon-Thurs) - 4x10s

JOB SUMMARY
Total production planning to ensure adherence to customer and program delivery requirements. Attainment of planning objectives where products and or production processes are new or manufacturing processes are variable. Provide input to management regarding problems such as shortages, design changed, backlogs, etc.

• Ensure flow of product on the shop floor is adequate to support customer requirements thru activities such as releasing shop orders in order on time, etc.

• Review and adjust planning parameters such as order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, and replenishment interval in order to support the business/customer requirements

• Review and adjust raw material and semi-finished inventory buffer quantities for production and/or repair.

• Measure and report inventory actual balances vs. targets. Report corrective action taken to alleviate out of tolerance conditions.

• Ensure planning exception report is at low levels by rescheduling work orders.

• Identify and solve SAP related issues what is driving inefficiencies in operations such as doing RCCMs on inventory accuracy issues.

• Lead the Forecast to Build process in SAP and act as a liaise with business partners such as sales and supply chain commodity managers in defining and implementing solutions that address the various planning and scheduling challenges

• Level Load schedules according to demand and capacity requirements and desired stock service and inventory levels. Works regularly with production floor to understand capacity.

• Achieve measurable results in on time delivery and inventory through planning/supply chain improvements. Lead smaller improvements through good analysis via Excel and drive implementation of changes through the use of action plans.

• Lead the implementation and upkeep of various non-MRP planning methodologies such as Kanban, Min-Max etc

• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Production Operations Management, Materials Management, Engineering or another Supply Chain field not listed.
• One (1) to three (3) years planning, scheduling and coordinating of materials/production operations experience, preferably with electronic components and/or parts.
• APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) certification prefered
• Understanding of Manufacturing Systems
• Lean Six Sigma Project experience
• Strong PC literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an integrated database
• Knowledge of MSP systems preferably SAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
