Warehouse Inventory Control Clerk
Richmond, CA 94804

  • Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday through Friday | 7am - 3:30/4pm | After training manager is flexible to work schedule | Candidate must be open to occasional weekend work
  • Role is 6-month assignment
  • ** FINAL CANDIDATE MUST SUBMIT TO A DRUG TEST. This will be reimbursed.

Note: MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cycle Count Inventory — Conduct ongoing cycle counts throughout the 6‐month assignment to verify quantities and correct discrepancies
  • Update Inventory System — Enter missing parts, update descriptions, correct quantities, and ensure all part data is complete and accurate
  • Parts Room Organization — Reorganize shelves, label parts, and maintain a clean, efficient storage layout
  • Process Excess Parts — Identify excess or misplaced parts located outside the parts room and determine what should be returned to inventory
  • Shelving & Stocking — Place excess or newly identified parts onto the correct shelves following company standards
  • Documentation Cleanup — Over the 6‐month period ensure all part descriptions, categories, and locations are fully updated and standardized
  • Support Inventory Audit — Assist with mid‐assignment and end‐of‐assignment inventory checks to confirm improvements
  • Assist Staff — Help technicians and team members locate parts and answer questions about availability

Month 1:

  • Initial cycle counts
  • Identify missing descriptions and incorrect quantities
  • Begin organizing shelves and labeling

Months 2–3:

  • Full system cleanup
  • Add/update all part descriptions
  • Process excess parts and return them to inventory

Months 4–5:

  • Deep cycle counts and corrections
  • Finalize organization of all shelves and storage areas

Month 6:

  • Final audit preparation
  • Confirm accuracy of all inventory records
  • Document completed improvements for handoff

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1-4 years of experience in a similar type of role
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PC programs. Experience with CMMS nice to have
  • Experience with mechanical and consumable parts inventory procedures
  • Be able to lift up to 50 - 60 lbs.
  • *Standing pallet jack experience
  • *Forklift certification nice to have
