Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Gainesville, Florida
Please Note: No RTO or scheduling requests.
Unit Overview
- Location: Gainesville, Florida
- Unit Type: Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR)
- Number of Beds: 30
- Department Staff: 22 team members, including PTs, OTs, SLPs, and Rehab Technicians
- Shift: Day Shift Only
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 7:1
- Equipment: Standard inpatient rehabilitation gym equipment, including balance and gait training systems
- Documentation System: Meditech Expanse
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekend coverage
Minimum Requirements
- Current BLS certification
Primary Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to adult inpatient rehabilitation patients, including:
- Speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations
- Development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Cognitive-communication therapy
- Dysphagia assessment and treatment
- Patient and family education
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Functional communication training
- Accurate documentation in Meditech Expanse
