Cath Lab Technologist Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to patient care and teamwork.
Responsibilities- Perform catheterization procedures including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
- Assist with structural cardiology procedures and various advanced techniques such as Impella, IABP, and ECMO.
- Utilize specialized equipment including Siemens Artiz Z & Q, Philips Volcano IVUS, and Shockwave devices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and support during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety protocols.
- 3x12 hour shifts from 08:30 to 20:30.
- Weekend shifts required once every 4-5 weeks, from Friday evening to Monday morning.
- Participate in on-call rotation, including 2 weekday nights and weekend responsibilities.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting, with competence in all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD), and ARRT(R).
- Experience with adult cardiology and structural cardiology patient diagnoses is essential.
- Prior experience with a variety of procedures such as CTO, TAVR, Watchman, and shockwave therapy is highly preferred.
- Must possess a valid West Virginia license, and pending licenses may be submitted with the assurance of having an active license upon assignment start.
- Must not hold RCIS or RCES credentials, as these are not recognized for Cath Lab roles.
- Average daily census: 35-45 patients.
- Staffing ratios: 1:1.
- Free parking for all staff members.
- Charting utilizing Cerner EHR.
