Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in Puyallup, WA. This acute care position involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures within a Level III Trauma Center, performing approximately eight cases per day, and working in a fast-paced clinical environment focused on cardiac catheterization care.
Job Details
- Position: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (RT(R) - Cath Lab Tech/CVT)
- Location: Puyallup, WA
- Position Type: Acute Care, full-time with a schedule from 0630a to 1730p depending on call rotation, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, with call responsibilities once per week and every 6th weekend, including holiday call expectations
- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS certifications; WA license; experience with diagnostic/interventional Cath Lab cases, LHC/RHC, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral intervention, loop recorders, pacemakers, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes; 1-year Cath Lab experience preferred if traveler has prior travel experience, or 2+ years if first-time traveler; ability to scrub and operate the table simultaneously; flexible and teamwork-oriented attitude
- Additional Information: First-day orientation includes NEO; training in the department for remainder of the week; no sleep room available, but use of the Admit/Recovery unit permitted; equipment used includes C-arm systems (GE Alea experience not required), IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Picom PACS, and Hemodynamic systems (Merge experience preferred); support team includes charge nurse, lead tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, intensivists, cardiologists, transporters, RRT, and code team.
