Job Summary
The Massachusetts-based healthcare provider is seeking a CT Technologist to join their team. The position involves operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. The technologist will interpret physician instructions, prepare and operate imaging equipment, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology, Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiology License required, ARRT (R) certification required and ARRT (CT) certification preferred but must be obtained within two years of hire, minimum of 0 years of experience with CT scan procedures or equivalent experience as determined by the department manager
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience on Toshiba CT Scanners preferred
- Additional Information: The role entails maneuvering equipment and patients, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring diagnostic image quality. The technologist will perform procedures that involve physical demands and radiation exposure, following all safety and compliance standards. The position requires attention to detail in documentation, patient positioning, and image assessment, as well as coordination with scheduling and physician orders. Candidate must demonstrate good interpersonal skills, dependability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
