Animal Care Attendant
Location: Fort Worth Animal Shelter – Haslet, TX

Join the Fort Worth Animal Shelter team in a rewarding role caring for animals in a fast-paced shelter environment. This is a temporary assignment with the potential to become a permanent position with the City of Fort Worth for the right candidate.

Schedule:

• Wednesday –Saturday
• 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Pay: 15.00 hourly

Job Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain animal kennels to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Feed, water, exercise, and bathe animals as needed.
• Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns.
• Prepare animals for transport to other facilities or adoption events.
• Assist with basic grooming and handling of animals.
• Support obedience training and animal enrichment activities.
• Follow shelter policies and procedures to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable handling dogs, cats, and other shelter animals.
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Passion for animal welfare and the ability to work as part of a team.
