Quality Engineer – Precision Manufacturing (Aerospace & Medical)

Location: Brook Park, OH Full‐Time | Modern, Climate‐Controlled Facility


A growing precision machining manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to support tight‐tolerance production for aerospace, medical, defense, and other high‐spec industries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on quality work, problem‐solving on the floor, and leading continuous improvement in a fast‐paced, high‐mix machining environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality activities, including internal audits, corrective actions, and documentation
  • Perform first‐article, in‐process, and final inspections on tight‐tolerance machined components
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation
  • Work closely with machinists, programmers, and leadership to resolve quality issues and improve processes
  • Support customer and supplier quality requirements, including PPAP, FAIRs, and traceability documentation
  • Analyze non‐conformances, lead root‐cause investigations, and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across machining, inspection, and documentation workflows

What You Need

  • 2–5 years of experience in quality engineering or precision inspection
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements and audit processes
  • Experience with tight‐tolerance machining (aerospace, medical, or defense preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Hands‐on experience with inspection tools; CMM experience preferred
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem‐solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‐mix, low‐volume environment
