We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments, ensuring safety and proper functionality.
  • Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers about treatment procedures, progress updates, and home exercise programs to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and adhere to all clinical documentation protocols to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
  • Proven experience in outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, or home health environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation practices.
  • Ability to operate medical equipment safely and effectively while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborating with healthcare teams.
  • Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) management systems is highly desirable.
