Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level II trauma center, requiring 2+ years of experience and GE CT scanner proficiency.
Details
- Hospital-based CT department within a 176-bed Level II trauma, Magnet, Chest Pain, and Stroke Center
- Patient population includes ED, inpatient, outpatient, stroke, chest pain, procedural, and trauma cases
- Department averages 50-75 patients per day
- 8-hour day shift schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- 40 standard hours per week on an 8-week scheduling cycle
- Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend
- On-call rotation required on an 8-week cycle, details discussed in interview
- Holiday coverage per unit needs
- No floating required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Uses GE CT scanners with experience required
- 24/7 hospitalist, intensivist, and trauma team support within the department
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- RT (R)(CT) certification required
- IEMA certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
- Experience with IV starts, stroke and chest pain work-ups, and trauma cases
- GE CT scanner experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Facility orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 1 week of precepted shifts
- RTO requests subject to manager approval
- Scrub color required is Caribbean blue

- Well-qualified first-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
- Former Advocate Health employees must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignment
