Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician role within a retail/outpatient Federal Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting located in Littleton, CO. This contract position offers potential to transition to contract-to-hire. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting between 7:45am and 8:00am, ending at 5:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.
  • Fill, label, package, and prepare prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Process insurance claims including Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance, and 340B-eligible prescriptions.
  • Assist patients with prescription pick-up, refills, transfers, and medication inquiries, escalating clinical questions to the pharmacist.
  • Manage payments and follow all cash-handling protocols.
  • Order medications, receive shipments, rotate stock, and maintain inventory.
  • Remove expired medications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Support clinic medication and vaccine orders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation while protecting patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, nurses, medical assistants, and pharmacists to coordinate patient care.
  • Provide compassionate, professional service to a diverse and often underserved patient population.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of pharmacy technician experience highly preferred.
  • Active and clear Colorado pharmacy technician license.
  • Certification by PTCB or NHA required.
  • Experience with EPIC Willow preferred; training available for 1-2 days if needed.
