Contract Details- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Pay Rate: $57.00 $62.00 / Hour (USD)
- Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. US Citizen or US Permanent Resident required.
The Systems Validation Engineer designs and develops systems and software test programs for automated and manual testing of infrared camera systems.
Key Responsibilities- Developing, maintaining, and running a suite of camera validation test applications, analyzing test results, reporting results in a detailed and organized fashion, and assisting with identified issues.
- Requires knowledge of Windows as a development and test environment
- Experience writing test code for reuse, executing test cases, and generating reports
- Experience writing validation test plans with automated and manual test cases
- Ability to write and understand Python code is critical
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), ability to keep up and excel in a fast-paced team, exceptional analytical skills with an ability to break down complex problems into small, logical pieces
- A focus on quality and details is key in this role
- Good teamwork and collaboration skills
- Linux is a plus
- Test automation experience adapted to embedded development is very helpful
- Understanding C, C , and/or C# is helpful
- Experience with PyTest will be very helpful
- Experience with software version control (SVN, Git), project tracking, and bug-tracking/ticket systems is helpful
- Continuous Integration tool expertise is valuable especially Jenkins
- Experience using Jama for test case management is very helpful but not required
- Experience with the Atlassian SW suite is also very helpful but not required (Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence)
- Experience using AI for testing a commercial product is highly valued
- A qualified candidate will show good teamwork and collaboration skills those are highly valued in our teams
- The right candidate will be a creative thinker who can "get into the heads of our customers to test our products in ways that they are commonly used and push them in ways that may not have been previously thought of"
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience in industry
- 2 or more years of experience in engineering verification or validation is required
