About the Position

We are seeking a skilled Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and specialized support to students with disabilities while collaborating with families and multidisciplinary educational teams.

Job Duties

• Develop and implement IEPs
• Provide specially designed instruction
• Adapt curriculum and instructional materials
• Monitor student academic, behavioral, and developmental progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Implement positive behavioral and classroom management strategies
• Provide accommodations and modifications
• Maintain accurate special education documentation
• Ensure compliance with IDEA and Pennsylvania special education requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate with the appropriate Special Education certification for the assigned position
• Completion of an approved educator preparation program or applicable Pennsylvania certification pathway
• Appropriate Special Education PK-12 or grade-level certification matching the assignment
• Knowledge of IDEA and Pennsylvania special education regulations
• Strong communication, organization, classroom management, and collaboration skills
• Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
