What’s a typical day as Project Manager? You’ll be:
- Coordinating and tracking progress across five critical operational improvement workstreams, including aftermarket service expansion, parts availability improvement, supply chain material cost reduction, lead time reduction, and shop floor operational enhancements.
- Maintaining weekly milestone tracking, KPI dashboards, and risk logs to ensure program success and adherence to schedule.
- Engaging daily with plant leadership, supervisors, and shop floor operators to translate improvement plans into actionable tasks.
- Supporting implementation of standard work, flow improvements, and bottleneck resolutions to hit production targets.
- Tracking supplier actions on cost and lead time reduction and coordinating initiatives to improve parts availability and grow aftermarket revenue.
- Preparing weekly executive updates, workstream status dashboards, and KPI tracking reports for leadership reviews.
- Building and maintaining KPI scorecards, action trackers, and validating data inputs across functions.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, supply chain, or consulting.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to manage cross-functional projects, track execution, and drive accountability.
- Possess excellent analytical and organizational skills, with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Are willing and able to work on-site in Baraga, MI, 4+ days per week for the duration of the assignment.
- Have experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, aftermarket parts/service, heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing.
- Are familiar with SIOP/production planning and ERP systems such as D365.
