Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Electric Draglines & Mining Fleet
Location: Ocala, FL / Surrounding Region
Position Type: Full-Time (2 Openings)
Compensation: $80,000 – $150,000 / year (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking two experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics with specialized expertise in electric draglines and heavy aggregate or mining equipment. In this role, you will perform high-level diagnostic, preventative maintenance, and overhaul work on primary production machinery—specifically electric draglines, crushing systems, large excavators, and front-end loaders.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on electric draglines, aggregate crushing plant systems, excavators, and front-end loaders.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and high/low-voltage electrical systems.
Perform major component replacements, structural repairs, and mechanical overhauls to minimize operational downtime.
Execute regular safety and operational inspections across the entire heavy fleet.
Maintain clear maintenance records, service logs, and safety documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.
Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated, hands-on experience with electric draglines in a mining or quarry environment is strictly required.
Equipment Expertise: Strong background maintaining and repairing crushers, excavators, and large front-end loaders.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with heavy hydraulics, mechanical drive systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and MSHA/OSHA compliance.
