We are seeking a proactive, independent, and highly experienced Pursuit Planner / Schedule Support professional (8 12 years of experience) to play a pivotal role in bridging pursuit planning with project execution within our Power Generation business line. This role focuses on delivering early-stage schedule consistency and clarity for complex power projects. Leveraging deep field experience and historical data, you will establish logical assumptions to build realistic schedules before detailed engineering is fully defined. You will collaborate closely with preconstruction, engineering, and project leadership to develop proposal schedules, client forecasts, and cash flow projections. As projects transition to execution, you will also provide guidance, quality control, and mentorship to execution schedulers to ensure standard frameworks are maintained with analytical rigor.
Key ResponsibilitiesPursuit Planning & Early-Stage Development
- Early Planning & Assumptions: Analyze and leverage historical project information, industry benchmarks, and field data to formulate logical assumptions for early-stage planning and front-end schedule development when minimal project definition is available.
- Proposal Schedules: Develop and maintain Level 1 proposal schedules throughout the pursuit lifecycle for diverse power generation opportunities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with proposal, preconstruction, and engineering leaders to define key planning parameters and execution strategies.
- Resource & Cash Flow Modeling: Create high-level client histograms and indicative cash flow plans to support capacity planning and client-facing proposals.
- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve capacity planning accuracy and enhance data integration with the Power BI team.
Execution Schedule Support & Mentorship
- Schedule Transition: Support execution teams in successfully transitioning Level 1 pursuit schedules into standardized Level 3 EPC, engineering, and procurement schedule frameworks.
- Interactive Planning: Support the preparation, facilitation, and structure of Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
- Schedule Quality Assurance: Perform detailed schedule quality control checks and identify opportunities for optimization, logical refinement, and risk mitigation.
- Mentorship & Training: Mentor and train execution schedulers on standard practices, advanced P6 methodologies, and critical thinking, helping them move beyond routine updates to identify critical path risks and understand broader project impacts.
- 8 12 years of dedicated project planning and scheduling experience in heavy industrial sectors, with a strong focus on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction).
- Proven field experience working directly on power plant construction sites is highly preferred to ensure pursuit schedules reflect real-world execution realities.
- Direct field and planning familiarity with power technologies, including: Simple Cycle power plants, Combined Cycle power plants, Reciprocal Engine (RICE) facilities, and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) construction/facilities.
- In-depth, advanced mastery of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel for complex schedule logic, resource loading, and analytical reporting.
- Strong ability to work with ambiguity, utilizing historical data and professional judgment to establish realistic schedule structures during early-stage planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively work across engineering, preconstruction, and project management disciplines from a home office environment.
- Self-directed and highly motivated, with a proven track record of working independently in a dynamic, remote environment.
