Job Description
This role focuses on supporting laboratory-based chemical work, including physical stability analysis and operation of lab-scale equipment. The Laboratory Chemist applies bachelor-level knowledge of chemicals and chemical principles to conduct tests, analyze results, and accurately document data and observations. The position requires extensive hands-on laboratory experience, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical stability analyses, including measurements of viscosity, density, and other relevant properties for chemical samples.
- Operate lab-scale mixing and milling equipment safely and efficiently to support experimental and formulation activities.
- Record data, observations, and test results clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner in laboratory notebooks and systems.
- Follow established laboratory safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
- Support formulation development activities by preparing samples and conducting tests as directed.
- Analyze experimental outcomes using critical thinking and attention to detail, and communicate findings to team members.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a team-oriented environment to complete projects and meet laboratory objectives.
- Manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes by sharing observations and suggestions with the team.
This is a Contract position based out of Chesterfield, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
