\n Mile Bluff Medical Center | Mauston, WI
\n Mile Bluff Medical Center is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support its Operating Room team on a full-time contract assignment. The Surgical Technologist will prepare the OR, maintain the sterile field, organize surgical instruments and supplies, and assist the surgical team throughout procedures.
\n Responsibilities
\n Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures and establish sterile fields.
\n Set up and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, supplies, and solutions.
\n Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
\n Perform initial instrument, sponge, and sharps counts with the circulator.
\n Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile surgical environment.
\n Assist team members with gowning and gloving.
\n Assist with patient positioning and safely transfer patients between carts and beds.
\n Turn over operating rooms between cases.
\n Maintain and organize suture carts and monitor expiration dates.
\n Keep adequate surgical supplies stocked.
\n Maintain records related to steam sterilizer use.
\n Properly handle and manage surgical equipment and supplies.
\n Perform other duties as assigned to support the surgical team.
\n Requirements
\n 1+ year of Surgical Technologist/OR experience preferred.
\n Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred.
\n BLS/BCLS required.
\n High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
\n Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy.
\n Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
\n Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR safety practices.
