Maintenance Technician – Food Manufacturing Industry
Location: Tamarac, FL
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in a food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment, with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on production equipment to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner to support production goals.
Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, packaging equipment, and other industrial machinery.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
Perform equipment adjustments, installations, and modifications as needed.
Support continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all food safety and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing, production, or industrial environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
Familiarity with motors, sensors, conveyors, pumps, and production machinery.
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Preferred Experience:
Food processing or packaging equipment maintenance.
Experience with GMP, HACCP, or food safety standards.
Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus.
