Maintenance Mechanic (Production or Warehouse)

We are seeking two Maintenance Mechanics to support a food manufacturing operation in Cambria, WI. One position supports our Warehouse/Labeling operations on first shift, while the other supports Production operations on second shift during pack season.

Both positions are responsible for keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently through hands-on mechanical troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, fabrication, and equipment improvements. The ideal candidate is a reliable industrial maintenance mechanic who enjoys diagnosing equipment issues and working in a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Openings: 2 (1 Production, 1 Warehouse)

Shift

Warehouse Maintenance

  • 1st Shift: 4:30 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Schedule flexibility required based on production needs.

Production Maintenance

  • During pack season: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
  • Transitions to 1st shift after pack season, Mon-Thur, 4x10, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay

$27.00-$33.00/hour, based on experience and client approval.

Responsibilities

Production Maintenance

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain food processing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and document completed work.
  • Repair, overhaul, install, and adjust production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot conveyors, pumps, bearings, motors, gearboxes, drives, and other production machinery.
  • Fabricate, weld, modify, and install equipment as needed.
  • Read sketches, layouts, and basic blueprints.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns to maximize production uptime.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, housekeeping, and plant safety requirements.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Warehouse & Labeling Maintenance

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain warehouse, labeling, storage, and material handling equipment.
  • Perform maintenance checks and schedule major repairs on labeling equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust label lines to maintain production and quality standards.
  • Complete label line changeovers and equipment setup.
  • Verify and program product coding on VideoJet systems.
  • Calibrate ADR-50 equipment, complete required daily calibration checks, and maintain documentation.
  • Assist warehouse leadership with training employees on safe and efficient equipment operation.
  • Support warehouse operations by minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment reliability.
  • Follow GMP, food safety, housekeeping, and plant safety requirements.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, agricultural, food processing, machine shop, military, automotive, or construction maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • General maintenance knowledge.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Ability to safely work around industrial production equipment.
  • Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Food manufacturing, canning, freezing, packaging, or warehouse experience.
  • Experience maintaining conveyors, material handling systems, labeling equipment, docks, or storage systems.
  • Stainless steel welding experience.
  • Mill, lathe, machining, or metalworking experience.
  • Plumbing experience.
  • Basic PLC or controls exposure.
  • Experience maintaining older industrial equipment.
  • 480V electrical awareness is a plus, although these are primarily mechanical maintenance positions.
