Golf Maintenance II

Overview:Under the general supervision of the Superintendent of Golf Grounds, Assistant Superintendent, or Golf Specialist, the Golf Maintenance II position is responsible for routine maintenance work and mowing involved in the care and upkeep of the golf course and clubhouse grounds.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain golf course areas, sand bunkers, and ornamental beds, shrubs, and trees, including but not limited to mowing, weeding, planting and watering, mulching, and pruning.Operate and maintain golf course mowers, small maintenance vehicles, and power equipmentCollect garbage, litter pickup, and cleaning of bathroom facilitiesProvide support to special projects.Demonstrate and support District customer service standards.Other Duties and Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipmentOther duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge or ability to perform basic landscape tasks or use maintenance equipmentAbility to work independently in day-to-day operations with general direction from supervisorEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent.Special Considerations:Must be at least 18 years old.Subject to both office and outside environmental conditions.Subject to modified/flexible work schedules during high volume work periods including weekends and holidays.Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 50 lbs on a weekly basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 50 lbs. Manual dexterity and strength to operate power-operated equipment and machines.Exposure to pesticides, chemicals, dust, fumes, dirt, loud noise, and insect bites.
