Responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant:

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
• Assist with painting, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks
• Complete work orders promptly
• Clean common areas, resident rooms, and facility spaces
• Handle laundry duties: wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order throughout the facility
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
• Support a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff

Qualifications of a Maintenance Assistant:

• Experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or laundry in a healthcare setting or long-term care is preferred
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and cleaning equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage time well
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
