This position monitors outstanding insurance accounts for payment. Corrects any incorrect billing and patient information to ensure timely payment of accounts. Communicates with patients and insurance carriers, safeguarding the public relations of the hospital by consistent professional conduct. Qualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalent1 to 2 years insurance billing preferred Knowledge of general medical terminologySkilled at multitask abilities, detail oriented self starter and self managedLegible handwritingMaintains self with professionalism at all timesBasic knowledge of computers. Previous experience with Meditech system or mainframe system preferredKnowledge of office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, medifax copier
