About this job
Job Description
Imagine starting your day at 7:00 AM on a high-performing production line for a global leader in metals and automation manufacturing. You review overnight logs, connect to a PLC, trace a sensor fault on an HMI, fine-tune a PID loop, and then jump in with operations to commission a newly integrated drive. By 5:00 PM, you’ve helped boost throughput and ensured systems are safe, stable, and ready for the next run.
Mural Industrial Staffing is adding a hands-on technologist to support troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of electrical and automation equipment. You’ll work directly with advanced PLC-based control systems and modern industrial networks in a fast-moving production environment.
What You’ll Take On- Diagnostics & Repairs: Locate, analyze, and correct faults on PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and plant networks (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet).
- Performance Tuning: Adjust control logic and refine PID parameters to elevate product quality and line efficiency.
- Safety First: Lead by example with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc flash procedures at all times.
- Commissioning Support: Assist with startup, testing, and debugging of newly installed automation equipment.
- Experience: 1–5 years working with industrial PLC and automation platforms (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider) in a production setting.
- Technical Fluency: Read electrical schematics, troubleshoot sensors, and configure HMIs using Wonderware or FactoryTalk View.
- Education: Two‑year technical/college degree or equivalent hands-on training/military experience.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Pay Rate: $50–$55/hour (depending on experience)
- Per Diem: $120/day for hotel and meals
- Schedule: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Hands-on exposure to advanced PLC, HMI, and industrial automation systems
- Work with a global leader in metals and automation manufacturing
If you thrive on solving complex control problems and seeing immediate results on the factory floor, we’d like to meet you.
