Connect Staffing is hiring a Stator Technician for a drilling equipment and oilfield parts manufacturer in North Houston, TX. In this role, you will perform stator cutback operations using a manual lathe and move materials throughout the facility using forklifts and overhead cranes. This is a high-OT position with consistent weekly hours on a stable schedule.


Pay:$19–$20/hr

Schedule: Monday– Friday 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM.

Location:North Houston, TX

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Work Environment:Manufacturing Plant / Factory

Overtime:Weekly OT required (~20 hrs/wk)


Responsibilities

  • Perform stator cutback operations using a manual lathe to machine stators for drilling applications.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and components throughout the facility.
  • Inspect finished stators to confirm they meet quality standards and engineering specifications.
  • Record production data and complete work order documentation accurately.
  • Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and use all required PPE and safety guards at all times.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and clear of hazards to support continuous production flow.


Minimum Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience machining or cutting back stators used in downhole drilling or oilfield applications.
  • Ability to read work orders, engineering drawings, or technical documents.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals, for measurement and machining.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or ISO manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working in high-OT production environments with rotating or overnight schedules.
  • Hands-on experience operating a manual lathe.
  • Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
