We are partnering with a growing food manufacturing company seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support production operations and facility reliability. This role plays a critical part in maintaining uptime, ensuring food safety compliance, and supporting preventative maintenance initiatives across the plant.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, troubleshooting equipment, and being a key contributor on the production floor.
Schedule & Shift- Sun – Thur | 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM
- Overtime as needed, including occasional weekends/holidays
- Execute preventative maintenance (PM) programs, including sanitation-related maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to minimize downtime
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform scheduled repairs
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Partner with production, leadership, and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and prioritize work
- Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and safety protocols (including LOTO and PPE)
- Identify and proactively address equipment reliability issues
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing technical training
- Experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within food or beverage manufacturing
- Strong troubleshooting skills across:
- Electrical systems (including VFDs)
- HVAC & refrigeration
- Boilers and mechanical systems
- Working knowledge of PLCs and basic automation principles
- Basic skills in plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance
- Ability to read and follow SOPs and technical documentation
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- High attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or regulated production environment
- Maintenance or production support experience in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to:
- Food ingredients
- Cleaning chemicals
- Wet and temperature-variable conditions
- Stable, established food manufacturing environment
- Strong emphasis on preventative maintenance and reliability
