Part-Time Maintenance Technician50-Unit Apartment Community – Algona, IowaJoin our team and help create a safe, clean, and welcoming community for our residents!We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to assist with the maintenance and upkeep of a well-maintained 50-unit apartment community in Algona, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and values excellent customer service.Position OverviewAs the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for completing maintenance requests, preparing apartments for new residents, performing preventive maintenance, and helping maintain the overall appearance of the property.Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 20–25 hours per week with flexible scheduling)ResponsibilitiesComplete resident work orders promptly and professionally.Perform general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs.Prepare vacant apartments for new move-ins, including repairs, painting, and cleaning coordination.Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.Maintain the grounds, common areas, and building exterior.Assist with seasonal maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care coordination as needed.Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.Maintain maintenance records and communicate effectively with the Property Manager.Respond to emergency maintenance calls as required.QualificationsPrevious apartment, building, or general maintenance experience preferred.Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and work independently.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.We OfferCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceFlexible part-time scheduleSupportive team environmentOpportunity to work independentlyTraining and professional development opportunitiesIf you enjoy solving problems, working with your hands, and making a positive impact on the lives of residents, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and become an important part of our apartment community in Algona, Iowa!We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity in our workplace.
