Line Locator

You will be a part of our construction team bringing fiber technology to rural communities. You will assist the Construction Supervisor and site Foreman in execution of a construction project plan and additional tasks as needed. Locating underground cable plant and utilities in support of construction, rebuilds and existing upgrades. Marking located utilities according to set standards. You will be responsible for interpreting system maps (paper and electronic) to accurately locate underground facilities. Assisting in correcting system mapping information when discrepancies are discovered while performing locates by reporting the finds to supervisor.

Relevant Skills

• Basic computer knowledge

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Tolerate physically demanding assignments in all weather conditions
• Ability to work some weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Some travel required
• Driving for long periods of time
• Must be On-Call every other weekend.
