Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the Role:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician, PLC & Automation, supports the maintenance and reliability of highly automated production equipment. This role combines mechanical maintenance, automation support, and PLC troubleshooting to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. Ideal candidates have experience working in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or automated facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair automated production and material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems, control circuits, sensors, and automation components.
• Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Repair conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, and mechanical assemblies.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to restore functionality.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
• Support continuous improvement and downtime reduction initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of electrical controls, motors, sensors, and industrial automation systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Automation Technology.
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Experience with VFDs, HMIs, and industrial networking.
• CMMS experience.
• Electrical troubleshooting and controls experience.
