Hardware & Rental Clerk (Temp-to-Hire) - Wadena, MNPay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, plus every other Saturday from 7:30 AM - 12:00 PMRequirements for the Hardware & Rental Clerk

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Friendly, outgoing, and dependable personality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment rental procedures
• Ability to lift, move, and handle merchandise and equipment as needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Hardware & Rental Clerk ResponsibilitiesPenmac Staffing is seeking a Hardware & Rental Clerk for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Wadena, MN. This position combines hardware store and equipment rental responsibilities and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, learning new skills, and staying active throughout the day. The Hardware & Rental Clerk will assist customers throughout the store and rental department while helping maintain inventory, merchandise displays, and rental equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude. 

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting customers with hardware, lumber, and rental equipment needs
• Renting equipment and processing rental agreements
• Checking in returned equipment and inspecting for damage or maintenance needs
• Performing basic servicing and upkeep of rental tools and equipment
• Operating the cash register and processing transactions
• Stocking shelves and replenishing merchandise
• Organizing displays and maintaining a clean sales floor
• Assisting with inventory and product organization
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
• Supporting daily store operations as needed

Pay and Benefits

• $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
• Excellent opportunity to be hired on by the client after the successful completion of the temp-to-hire period
