Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience for a 12-week assignment supporting IR and vascular surgery cases.
Details
- Work in a department with 1 IR suite, 1 OR hybrid room, and 1 multi-purpose room
- Support IR and vascular surgeons
- Adult to geriatric patient population
- Average daily census of 15-20 patients
- Uses Philips Flex Arm C-Arm and Siemens Artis Pheno C-Arm
- Uses Epic and Pyxis systems
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Work in IR, ER, ICU, and OR settings
- Every other weekend rotation
- Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
- Call requirements include weeknights and weekends on rotation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
- Current BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
- ACLS, ARRT Advanced Certification, and ARRT (VI) preferred
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Skilled in scrubbing and circulating a wide range of IR procedures
- Experience with venous access, vascular studies, and genitourinary procedures preferred
- Knowledge of 3D imaging, PACS, and sterile technique
- Experience with procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and biopsy preferred
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, EKG lead placement, access site prep, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbed in
- Perform a wide range of IR, vascular, neurological, and genitourinary procedures
- Scrubs provided by the facility
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling during the assignment period
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
