About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Professional to support day-to-day safety operations. This individual will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with site and company requirements, conducting inspections and investigations, and providing safety training and communication to employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the site/facility safety orientation program for employees, contractors, and other personnel.
- Develop, coordinate, and conduct job-specific safety training as needed based on site activities, hazards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and lead routine and scheduled safety meetings, ensuring discussions address relevant site/facility safety topics.
- Develop comprehensive safety meeting agendas and maintain accurate meeting minutes, action items, and attendance records.
- Conduct daily site/facility safety and health assessments and targeted inspections based on specific work activities or identified hazards.
- Document inspection findings and track corrective actions through completion and close-out.
- Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and potential hazards and work with site leadership and contractors to implement appropriate corrective measures.
- Conduct investigations involving safety incidents, health events, property damage, process losses, and other site-related events.
- Perform root-cause analysis to determine contributing factors and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Complete accurate and timely investigation reports and maintain required safety documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or facility safety.
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety principles, hazard identification, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience conducting safety orientations, training, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Strong understanding of root-cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, supervisors, and project leadership.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple safety activities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in an active field environment and confidently address unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- OSHA 10, 30 & 500.
- Additional safety certifications such as CHST, CSP, ASP, or equivalent are a plus.
