Our client is seeking detail-oriented Eligibility & Enrollment Specialists to join their team and assist patients with insurance eligibility, public assistance enrollment, and financial assistance programs. Job Description:
As an Eligibility & Enrollment Specialist, you will work directly with patients to verify insurance coverage, determine eligibility for assistance programs, and guide individuals through the enrollment process for state-sponsored healthcare benefits. You'll play an important role in ensuring patients maintain access to the healthcare services they need while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and determine patient eligibility for healthcare benefits.
- Assist patients with enrolling in state-sponsored healthcare programs, including AHCCCS.
- Educate patients on available benefits, coverage options, and renewal requirements.
- Monitor eligibility renewals and proactively help prevent interruptions in coverage.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Review and audit enrollment information to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinic staff to support patients throughout the enrollment process.
- Manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience verifying insurance eligibility or enrolling patients in healthcare benefit programs.
- Working knowledge of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and/or state-funded insurance plans.
- Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system; NextGen or similar platforms preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and eligibility processes in a medical setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations is highly preferred.
