Our client, a leading organization in the food industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join their team. As a Quality Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Quality Department supporting the Nestlé Management System (NMS) and Food Safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong scientific expertise, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality assurance, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Specialist

Location: Bridgewater, NJ

Pay Range: $30-$32/hour

Shift: Hours Per Shift: 8

What's the Job?

  • Create and review raw material specifications focusing on microbiology and chemical contaminants parameters.
  • Perform Food Safety Assessments and develop pHACCP and rMMS for new product and technology projects, including factory support for implementation.
  • Support the transfer of Quality and Food Safety knowledge to operations through engagement, training, and guidelines.
  • Ensure full compliance with Nestlé Standards and Regulatory requirements, supporting audits and regulatory visits.
  • Provide technical assistance to Quality functions in factories and application groups, supporting certification efforts such as ISO and NMS.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Background or knowledge in Food Microbiology and/or Toxicology.
  • Experience in the food industry in quality, R&D, or manufacturing roles.
  • Demonstrated competence in microbiology, toxicology, or related scientific areas.
  • Willingness to support documentation, specifications, and technical decision-making outside of laboratory settings.
