About the Role:
Helping Hands Home Healthcare Agency in Oak Hill, OH is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our caring team. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and personal assistance to individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation
• Support clients in community integration and social skill development
• Implement individualized support plans and document progress accurately
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed
• Transport clients to appointments, activities, and community outings
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in direct support, caregiving, or a related healthcare field preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays
