Job Description
- Own the full credentialing, recredentialing, and enrollment process for physicians, APPs, and ancillary providers.
- Prepare, submit, track, and maintain payer applications and enrollments.
- Verify licenses, certifications, DEA registrations, education, training, malpractice coverage, and other credentials.
- Manage provider information across CAQH, payer portals, credentialing systems, and clearinghouses.
- Monitor deadlines and credential expirations to prevent enrollment or reimbursement disruptions.
- Resolve payer enrollment, demographic, billing, ERA/EFT, and reimbursement issues.
- Partner with providers, payers, Medical Staff, Revenue Cycle, Contracting, Compliance, and Operations teams.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking tools while protecting confidential information.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–3 years of healthcare credentialing, provider enrollment, or medical staff services experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payer enrollment, and CAQH.
- Experience with credentialing software and payer portals.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- CPCS certification
- Experience in a hospital, healthcare system, or multi-specialty clinic
- Familiarity with provider contracting and revenue cycle operations
