This Physical Therapist Assistant position is based in Bend, Oregon, a highly desirable Central Oregon community known for its stunning natural beauty and exceptional quality of life. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to carry out individualized treatment plans. A typical day may include assisting with patient evaluations, implementing therapeutic exercise programs, performing modalities as ordered, monitoring patient response to treatment, and educating patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies. Caseloads typically include musculoskeletal, orthopedic and post-surgical patients, as well as individuals recovering from sports injuries or dealing with chronic pain, providing opportunities to develop expertise across a range of conditions. Patient visits are scheduled throughout the day with a focus on efficient workflow and attentive one-on-one care. The environment supports building strong therapeutic relationships, with reasonable patient ratios to allow for high-quality interaction and thorough treatment sessions. You will be expected to maintain detailed documentation in the clinic’s electronic medical record system and to participate in team meetings, case discussions and quality improvement activities. Shifts generally follow daytime outpatient hours with possible variation depending on clinic needs, such as early morning or early evening appointments to accommodate patient schedules.
