UNIT:  Adult SLP Inpatient
MANAGER INTERVIEWS


Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS
MBSiMP, MBSS
Must have MBSiMP, MBSS Certification & ICU experience


Skills required:
Complete evaluations and Treatments for swallowing/cognition, speech and language, have ICU experience
Required: Must be comfortable with high acuity and medically complex cases and have experience with ICU level patients

Technology/Equipment:
EMR: Meditech


Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Will cover all adult inpatient units, including MedSurg, PCU, and ICU
General medical patient, head and neck cancers, neurogenic disorders, pulmonary and GI disorders, cognitive/speech and language disorders, swallowing disorders


Case Load:
Will have an average daily case load of 9 patients per SLP

Unit Information:
Beds: N/A
Minimum Years of Experience required? 3+ years as medical speech and language pathologist
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with above experience in an acute care setting and working with medically complex and acute cases

 

Floating: If yes, where?
Yes, will float ICU, PCU, ACU, 2nd surgical
