Job Summary
Physical Therapist Inpatient (PT IP) The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for an outpatient assignment. This position involves working within a clinical setting to deliver specialized patient care, with a focus on orthopedic and neurologic rehabilitation for adult patients.
Job Details
- Position/Specialty: PT Outpatient
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility in hours (Schedule is M-F)
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, Illinois state Physical Therapy license, minimum 1 year of experience in outpatient clinic settings, experience with orthopedic and neurologic cases including post-stroke rehabilitation
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, gait and mobility training, pain management, and patient education on physical therapy plans
- Clinical skills required include use of adaptive devices, body mechanics, vital signs, and evaluation of various orthopedic and neurologic conditions
- Experience with assessment documentation, discharge planning, plan of care development, and treatment execution using equipment such as crutches, gait belts, and rolling walkers
- Additional clinical skills include application of modalities such as cryotherapy, E-Stim, ultrasound, and TENS
- No float or on-call required; must have an active IL license in hand to apply
