**Join Our Team as a Cat Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** - Exciting opportunity to perform complex CT procedures and aid in interventional and therapeutic techniques. - Utilize your professional judgment while reviewing and obtaining patient clinical histories, ensuring accurate documentation in PACS. - Prepare, screen, and validate the contrast questionnaire with patients and family members and enter it into EPIC. - Identify and/or administer contrast media for CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners. - Review patient prescriptions to confirm exam appropriateness; communicate with Radiologists and Referring Physicians as necessary. - Clarify prescriptions with physicians in accordance with CT protocols. - Verify insurance authorization and modify exam scripts as needed, collaborating with the Finance team for re-verification. - Obtain outside studies and schedule them in EPIC for seamless Radiologist comparison. - Provide exam copies to patients and their healthcare providers. - Evaluate radiographs using PACS to ensure diagnostic quality and proper identification. - Gather relevant information from medical records and healthcare providers to establish patient-specific protocols. - Determine patient preparedness for procedures and ensure proper preparation. - Prep patients for scanning with appropriate shielding and immobilization devices. - Assess the appropriate type and dose of contrast to be administered. - Offer clear explanations and instructions to patients, addressing questions and concerns. - Perform venipuncture, IV patency checks, and maintenance procedures in accordance with guidelines. - Monitor patient conditions for any adverse reactions during procedures. - Adhere to departmental schedules, including possible shifts on weekends. - Commit to delivering quality patient care, demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and workflow. - Lift a minimum of 25 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs., and stand for a minimum of 6 hours per day. - Identify and address the unique needs of diverse patient populations, communicating effectively at a level they can understand. - Uphold standards of behavior reflecting the organization's competencies. **Skills:** - Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as radiological positioning. - Understanding of CT software and hardware mechanics. - Proficient in using the PACS system. - Commitment to maintaining CEU credits. - Must achieve ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire. - American Heart Association BLS Certification required within 3 months of hire. **Education:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program. - High School diploma or equivalent. **Certifications & Licensure:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License required. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required. - American Heart Association BLS Certification. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
