Registered Dental Hygienist

Join our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this role, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support a welcoming, professional environment. We can offer part-time (3 days a week) or can discuss full-time (considered 4 days a week).

Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and evaluating oral health status.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their dental health journey.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (Dentrix), documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Follow infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and infection control standards to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
• Proven experience in dental care patient education, dental terminology, and use of dental equipment.
• Proficiency in EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining strict safety standards.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
