About this job
Job Description
A Leadership Path for Proven Professionals
New York Life’s Edison office is meeting with select candidates for a management-track opportunity in financial services.
This path is designed for individuals who have already demonstrated leadership, sales ability, recruiting ability, business discipline, management experience, or entrepreneurial drive, and are now looking for a larger long-term platform.
This may be especially relevant for professionals who are already leading teams, managing operations, recruiting talent, driving sales, or carrying major responsibility, but feel capped by their current structure, schedule, or growth path.
The right candidate does not need to come from financial services. The stronger question is whether you have the communication skills, work ethic, leadership potential, business maturity, and willingness to learn the business firsthand before leading others.
How the Management Track Works
This opportunity begins as a Financial Services Professional. The first phase is focused on learning the business from the inside: building client relationships, developing a business plan, completing required licensing, learning the sales process, and gaining firsthand experience in the work you may one day help others succeed in.
As candidates progress and meet specific production, licensing, eligibility, and approval requirements, they transition into a management role. That phase includes leadership development focused on recruiting, coaching, mentoring, team development, business management, and building a leadership brand.
This structure is intentional. The goal is not simply to place someone into a management title. The goal is to develop someone who can understand the business, earn credibility, and eventually lead others through the same process.
Candidates selected for the interview process will meet with our Executive Partner, who has been with New York Life for 29 years and has helped develop many individuals throughout his career.
Benefits, Licensing, and Compensation
New York Life provides training, licensing support, and covers eligible costs associated with required licenses and certifications, subject to company guidelines.
Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), and pension eligibility, subject to eligibility requirements and program guidelines.
This opportunity begins as a commission-based Financial Services Professional role. Compensation is performance-based and may include commissions, bonuses, overrides, and other eligible allowances. The compensation range listed represents potential first-year compensation and is not a guaranteed salary or hourly wage.
For candidates who meet specific production, licensing, eligibility, and approval requirements, this path transitions into a management role that includes a base salary, plus eligibility for overrides, bonuses, and other incentives.
If you have already proven you can lead, sell, manage, recruit, coach, build, or influence others, and you are looking for more growth, this is a conversation worth having.
New York Life has over 180 years of history helping individuals, families, and businesses build long-term financial security. Our Edison office is focused on developing career-minded professionals through training, mentorship, licensing support, leadership development, and long-term career growth.
We approach recruiting differently. This is not about convincing every applicant that this career is for them. It is about having a serious conversation, asking the right questions, understanding your goals, and deciding together whether this path fits your future, your work ethic, your family priorities, and the life you want to build.
We look for individuals with strong communication skills, professionalism, coachability, leadership potential, and the desire to build a long-term career around relationships, trust, impact, and growth.
