Reports to: Partner, Strategic Initiatives

Classification: Full-time
Summary / Job Objective: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for documentation and process clarity. This role sits at the intersection of product, technology, and operations — translating business needs into
actionable development work while also ensuring that processes, systems, and workflows are well-
documented and accessible to the broader team.
Essential Job Functions:
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process observation
• Translate requirements into well-structured JIRA epics, stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria
• Maintain and groom the product backlog in collaboration with the development team and project leadership
• Facilitate sprint planning, refinement, and retrospective sessions as needed
• Create wireframes, mockups, and user flow diagrams using Figma to support development and stakeholder alignment
Primary Responsibilities:
• Partner closely with developers to ensure requirements are well-understood and delivered to spec
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating clear communication across teams
• Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and coordinate feedback cycles with business
• Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Develop training manuals and materials to support the rollout of new systems, features, and workflows
• Ensure documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to the intended audience —whether technical or end-user facing
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture institutional knowledge and translate it into clear written materials
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role within a technology team
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or a similarly regulated industry strongly preferred
• Background in technical writing or instructional design strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Confluence or similar documentation/knowledge management tools
• Exposure to software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
• Proficiency with JIRA (story creation, backlog management, sprint tracking)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience creating wireframes or mockups using Figma and similar design tools
Core Competencies:
• Strong written communication skills with a proven ability to produce clear, well-structured documentation
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation (based on experience)
● Annual salary range: $85,000 to $100,000, exempt
● Annual performance bonus target: 10%
