Part-Time Caregiver for a special need Teen (Female Preferred)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Morning: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
• Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
• Expected Hours: 10–17.5 hours per week

Job Summary

Home Care Companion LLC is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dependable female caregiver to provide one-on-one support for an autistic teenage girl in her home. The ideal candidate is calm, caring, and committed to helping individuals with special needs thrive. Previous experience with autism is preferred, but we welcome applicants with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Responsibilities

Morning Shift (7:00 AM – 8:30 AM)

• Assist with the morning routine
• Help with toileting and personal hygiene
• Assist with washing, brushing teeth, dressing, and combing hair
• Prepare her for school
• Safely assist her onto the school transportation van

Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

• Meet the school van upon arrival
• Assist her safely into the home
• Help with showering and personal hygiene
• Provide supervision, companionship, and emotional support
• Maintain a calm, structured, and positive environment

Qualifications

• Experience working with autistic children, teens, or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required
• Female caregiver preferred
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete required pre-service training and obtain certification before beginning employment
• Must provide a valid Driver's License or State ID and Social Security card or other employment authorization documents for hiring
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and emotionally mature
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Able to follow routines and instructions
• Excellent communication skills
• Punctual and reliable
