Laboratory Technician

Job Description:

Pay rate: $24/hr
Location: Cambridge, MA 02142
1st shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm or 8 am to 4:30 pm (Monday to Friday)
Temp assignment (3 months with possibility of extension)

Job Responsibilities

• Execute installation and setup of uplift supplies by floor (e.g. VAC trap setup, Metro shelf assembly)
• Complete fit-out checklists to track progress
• Provide on-demand laboratory operations support to Fit-out and Hypercare lead
• Immediately identify and escalate issues to the Fit-Out and Hypercare lead to prevent operational delays.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and operations, such as:
• Biological Safety Cabinets (BSC)
• Water baths
• Compressed gas cylinders
• Liquid nitrogen (LN2) dewars
• Dry ice handling
• Glass wash operations
• Laboratory consumables inventory management/scanners
• Experience with 5S or similar workplace organization methodologies
• Experience assembling shelving, setting up laboratory equipment, or supporting laboratory moves, fit-outs, or facilities is a plus
  

Education:

• High School Diploma/GED
