Our OB/GYN department is seeking a motivated, part-time or full-time (0.75-1.0 FTE) Certified Nurse Midwife to join the team at our 32nd Avenue Campus. This collegial group is the most experienced team in the area, well-respected and well-received within the Fargo-Moorhead community and greater region, allowing for a busy practice setting with continued growth opportunities. The current team consists of mix of Physicians, 6 CNMs and NPs. Our cohesive team collaborates to provide high-quality, dedicated care that is both efficient and effective for the growing families of our region.
- 0.75 FTE, Part-time
- Clinic Hours are arranged Mon-Fri between the hours of 8a-5p
- Hospital call coverage, rotated among delivery team
- Average 17 outpatients per day; procedures vary
- Birthing center delivering approximately 110 deliveries per month; will assist with cesarean deliveries
- May provide outreach in future
- Position requires licensure in both ND & MN
- Strong communication skills required
The certified nurse midwife performs full-scope midwifery care that focuses on pregnancy, childbirth, the post-partum period and the family planning and gynecological needs of women. The CNM team has an autonomous practice and works collaboratively with OB/GYN physicians and our Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to care for patients. They will also provide antepartum, postpartum and gynecologic care to women across their lifespan.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master’s Degree (preferred) in nurse midwifery and/or an accredited and certified registered nurse midwifery program as approved by the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Licensure/Certifications required:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in both ND & MN
- Current Licensure identifying practitioner as a certified nurse midwife in both ND & MN.
- Hold membership with the American Midwifery Certification Board.
- Current certification in CPR.
- National certification, in applicable area
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

EAST:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state. Current certification in CPR. National certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
