Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 1 year of Home Health experience for a home care position serving adult patients throughout Stanly and Montgomery counties.
Details
- Home Health setting providing speech therapy services to patients in their homes
- Travels throughout Albemarle, Badin, Harrisburg, Mt Gilead, Norwood, Troy and surrounding areas
- Treats adult patients with cognitive deficits, trach care, dysphagia, stroke, and aphasia
- Caseload of approximately 6 visits per day with a requirement of 30 visit equivalents per week
- No maximum mileage restriction, with an average of 60-80 miles driven daily
- Mileage reimbursed weekly
- Uses Homecare Homebase EMR (required) and EPIC Rover for view-only access
- Uses Mosia platform to upload discharge instructions and documentation such as wound photos
- Company-provided phone used for documentation and communicating with patients and providers
- 8-hour day shift, 0800-1700, 40 hours per week
- No weekend rotation, no call requirements, and no major holiday coverage
- Schedules patient visits one day in advance of the planned appointment
Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience required
- Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance required
- Homecare Homebase EMR experience required with no exceptions
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Considers first-time travelers if seasoned in home health
- Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of the home unit; local candidates not accepted
- Supported by departmental leadership, a scheduler, Clinical Manager, Clinical Supervisor, and clinical peer team
- Orientation includes NEO and 5 days of unit-specific training
- Cancelled appointments do not count toward the required visit equivalents
- No company car provided
- Grey scrub color required

- Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
