Mechanical Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists the engineer of record with design approaches for HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression systems
• Performs data collection and/or field verification
• Produces detailed HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression engineering drawings, based on applicable codes and standards
• Works with a team to ensure disciplines are coordinated and delivered prior to project deadlines
• Coordinates with client, internal design team members, project managers
• Reviews shop drawings and product data
• Attends regularly scheduled Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings and calls
• Performs on-site observations during construction
• Coordinates design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers
• Performs final punch-list site visits and generates reports
• Participates in PMC University continuing education program as a presenter and student

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited engineering program
• Passing score on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam/Licensed E.I.T. is desirable, but not required
• Self-performing and capable of learning design tasks with oversight from a professional engineer
• Presents a positive, team-focused attitude to both clients and peers
• Demonstrates attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
• Able to work independently on multiple projects in a given time period
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite
• Autodesk Revit experience is desirable, but not required
• Previous experience is desirable, but not required
