Physical Therapy Assistant PTA (Home Health)

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) supports licensed physical therapists by assisting in the delivery of therapeutic treatments and exercises designed to improve patients’ mobility and manage pain. This role involves close collaboration with physical therapists to implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress while ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ condition and report observations to the physical therapist
• Implement prescribed treatment plans and therapeutic exercises
• Supervise and assist patients during exercise sessions
• Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
• Educate patients on exercises and safety practices
• Document treatment progress and patient responses accurately
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the physical therapist
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards
• Maintain clear and effective communication with patients and healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a physical therapy assistant
• Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
