Carpenters Assistant

Employment Type: Temp to perm opportunity

Pay: $20 per hour starting pay

Location: Fulton, MO

Shift: Mon-Fri, 6-4

The Carpenters Assistant plays a vital role in supporting carpentry projects within commercial construction settings. Working under one supervisor, this role involves assisting with material preparation, tool handling, and measurement, ensuring that work progresses efficiently on-site. The assistant will remain stationary at a single construction site and be responsible for operating both hand and power tools to aid skilled carpenters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials needed for carpentry tasks
• Handle and maintain carpentry tools and equipment
• Assist with accurate measurements for projects
• Support skilled carpenters during various construction activities
• Load and unload materials at the construction site

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in carpentry
• Proficient in operating carpentry hand and power tools
• Knowledge of material handling practices
• Basic math skills for measurements
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks

Requirements

• Must pass a tape measure reading test
• Must pass a safety training test (video then test)
